ZARDファンの皆様ヘ
弊社所属アーティストであります、ZARDのボーカル／作詞家、坂井泉水が、
5月27日15時10分、不慮の事故による脳挫傷の為、永眠致しました。
坂井さんは、昨年6月、子宮頸癌を患い、都内某病院にて、入退院をくりかえしながら闘病生活を送っておりました。摘出手術により、一度は快方に向かってお りましたが、子宮頸癌の肺転移が認められ、今年４月に再入院を余儀なくされました。主治医及び病院関係者の治療のおかげをもちまして、ここ最近は、早朝に 病院の敷地内を散歩するまでになり、気丈にも体調回復のための日課としておりました。5月26日早朝、病室に戻る途中、階段の踊り場（約3メートルの高 さ）を通った際、前日の雨により足を滑らせて転落、後頭部を強打したことが、要因となりました。
これまでZARDを応援して下さった皆様に深く感謝し、いつまでもZARD作品が、皆様の心の中に生き続けることを願っております。

Everybody of ZARD fan
Those who wrote songs and vocal/Izumi Sakai of ZARD who was our
belonging artist died of brain contusion due to an unexpected
accident by 15:10 May 27.
Mr. Sakai suffered from the cancer of the uterine cervix last June, and was spending the struggle against disease life while repeating hospitalization and release in a Tokyo certain hospital. The lungs metastasis of the cancer of the uterine cervix was admitted, and re-hospitalization was done through necessity in April this year though the sit up and take notice once by the removal operation. It had the favor of the treatment of the physician in charge and the person related to the hospital, and it came to stroll in the site in the hospital early morning, and it descended courageously as a matter of routine for the physical condition recovery recently ..here... When the landing (height of about three meters) on the stairs on the way returned to the sickroom passing, the foot was slided by rain the day before and having hit the fall and back of the head hard became a factor early morning, May 26.
We wish to express our gratitude to everybody who assisted in ZARD deeply, and, up to now, it has wished that the ZARD work keep being effective indefinitely in the mind of everybody.
